Nick Giese was born in 1984 and grew up in Deer Park, Ohio; a Suburb of Cincinnati. Once out of high school Nick earned a degree in Jazz studies. He became a musician at a young age and began working and touring with many musical acts such as David Allan Coe, Whey Jennings, Billie Gant, Maria Carrelli, Jordan Wood, Sonny Moorman, Bob Nave, Willie Perkins, and many other local musicians in the Greater Cincinnati Area. Around 2012, Nick began experimenting with oil painting after watching art and instructional shows on local PBS channels.
In 2016, Nick took a break from touring with various national acts and began studying watercolor and egg tempera with artist Gary Brooks, whom was a student of one of Andrew Wyeth's students. Nick's subjects tend to come from Americana and past times that he discovers in his travels as a musician. When Nick is not touring or playing music he finds himself in his art studio paintingpieces from his inspirations.
